This program can exist on its own or be combined with the geometry and nature program. Students go on an exploration looking for the numbers that seem to occur naturally. They record these numbers and then place them into a sequence and try to figure out the pattern. Through a guided exploration, students will discover the Fibonacci sequence. This can also be expanded to a discovery and exploration of the golden ratio.
