G'day
My name is Sarah Catherine Elizabeth Reed. Reedy to University folk, Saya at High School, Scary to my Dad and Gypsy to Megan Mayflower. At present, I am 22 years old and living in a campervan in New Zealand, but I am a British girl through and through.
This is my third year now at Camp A (my home) and, like the rest of the staff, I cannot wait for it all to begin again. Something odd occurs to your body around New Years if you are Augustian: you become attacked by some sort of fever and your heart races, your forehead dampens and the entirety of your brain capacity is overwhelmed for thoughts on camp. There is only one cure: RETURN
I’ve been living out of my backpack since finishing my degree last June. After camp, I went traveling round Australia with my friend from back home and a couple of Augustian Thunder Cats (HO!). Somehow I ended up traveling alone, until now that is, as I'm currently pottering around New Zealand with my lovely Mum (She's blonde and we have matching dimples).
Since I left camp, I've seen some amazing parts of the world and experienced new things. I have had seven jobs, I've traveled through the desert and to a glacier. I spent my birthday shoveling cow poo. I have climbed mountains, slept under the stars and hunted the notorious Australian 'Big Thing'. It has all been tremendous, but I get antsy for the company I have at camp.
So So So Best Beloved's I shall see you there. I am the Manzi Counselor who drops into the costume cupboard a little (too?) often* and has continuously dirty feet, a phenomenon I cannot explain.
I shall leave you with three pieces of advice that I try to follow;
1. Discover what is good in the World and try your best to preserve it.
2. Eat cake whenever the thyme arises
