One of the many unique things about Camp Augusta is our fire program! Have fun, challenge yourself, and learn to play with fire! And do it safely!
Learn poi, dart, fire whips, fire swords, staff, contact staff, and if that isn’t enough, try your hand at double staff!
Not quite comfortable with fire? Try some of our glow toys and challenge yourself to design your own choreography. Express yourself using multi-colored lights!
Fire-spinning requires campers to progress through levels, learn safety techniques, learn how to get rid of extra fuel, and focus on body awareness. Not sure if you’re ready for fire? Come to the practice day and assess your spinning with water practice props before trying to use fuel
Campers are able to gain a unique skill, self-confidence, and coordination under expert guidance. For those who progress far enough, the campers put on a closing campfire performance.
