Our equestrian program features a dozen, 2 dedicated equestrian staff, a large arena, lunging pen, and numerous trails both on and off camp.

Campers can learn Western and English riding styles in our main arena.  From campers who have never seen a horse up close to experienced riders, we have something for you!  Advanced riders can demonstrate their skills early in the week and move on to higher levels early in the week.

Activities include safety training, bareback riding, and basic horsemanship.  More advanced riders can try their hands at trotting poles, identifying leads, barrel racing, and jumping.  Level three riders can go on a special picnic ride at the end of the session, where they take a beautiful trail ride to eat lunch!

Prefer to stay on the ground, but still want to work with horses?  We have teambuilding activities, grooming, and saddling, too! If you’d like to get wet we also have horse bathing, and if getting dirty is more your style, we have horse painting! Think of the fun of painting on a moving canvas that isn’t your counselor!

All equestrian activities are based on our level system, which insures safety.  Safety is a prime concern. We have a certified equestrian director, experienced staff, top-of-the-line helmets, quality riding boots, and more.
