The amazing Yuba River is only 3 miles away from camp. We take daily trips there for many things. Sometimes a cabin or two will go down to cook lunch by the river, swim, take a nature hike, and just enjoy the river’s splendor. The fishing clinic sometimes heads down to the river to try their luck there. Our Yuba River clinic involves a hike up the river and then either floating or tubing back down again. Safety is always on our minds, and to address it we usually have a 1:5 ratio of staff to campers at the river, and we always have a lifeguard with immediate communication and transportation back to camp.
